  5. These Terms and Conditions apply to all quotations, sales, supplies of goods and services provided by Melnic Marine (“the Company”, “we”, “us”). By placing an order with us, the customer (“Customer”, “you”) agrees to these Terms.
  6. These Terms apply to all quotations, orders, invoices and contracts unless otherwise agreed in writing.

      1. Quotations

  1. All quotations:

    • Are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

    • Are non-binding until confirmed by written order acceptance.

    • May be withdrawn or revised prior to acceptance.

    2. Prices may change due to supplier cost changes, currency fluctuation or shipping cost adjustments.

    3. Orders and Acceptance

    An order becomes binding when:

    • The Customer confirms acceptance of a quotation, or

    • The Company issues an order confirmation, or

    • Goods are dispatched.

    3. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where necessary.

    4. Pricing and Taxes

    All prices:

    • Are quoted in GBP unless otherwise stated.

    • Exclude VAT, import duties, shipping, insurance and taxes unless stated.

    • International customers are responsible for local import duties, taxes and customs charges.


    4. 5. Payment Terms

    Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

    • Payment terms are pro forma or 30 days from invoice date for approved accounts.

    • Payments must be made via bank transfer or secure card payment through Stripe where applicable.

    5. Late payments may result in:

    • Suspension of further deliveries

    • Interest charged in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998

    • Recovery costs for debt collection

    6. Ownership of goods remains with Melnic Marine until payment is received in full.

    6. Delivery

    Delivery dates are estimates only.

    Melnic Marine shall not be liable for delays caused by:

    • Shipping carriers

    • Customs clearance

    • Supply chain disruption

    • Force majeure events

    7. Risk in goods passes to the Customer upon delivery to the carrier or delivery location.

    Customers must inspect goods upon receipt.

    Any damage or shortages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

    7. Returns and Returns Policy

    Returns are only accepted with prior written approval from Melnic Marine.

    To request a return, customers must contact us within 14 days of receipt.

    Returned goods must:

    • Be unused and in original packaging

    • Be in resalable condition

    • Include all documentation and accessories

    8. The following items are non-returnable unless faulty:

    • Special order items

    • Custom-built equipment

    • Used or installed products

    • Safety-critical equipment where tampering affects integrity

    9. Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee (typically up to 20%).

    Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the Customer unless the goods are faulty.

    8. Faulty or Defective Goods

    If goods are faulty or defective, the Customer must notify Melnic Marine as soon as reasonably possible.

    Where a valid defect is confirmed, we may at our discretion:

    • Repair the product

    • Replace the product

    • Issue a credit or refund

    10. This does not affect statutory rights where applicable.

    9. Product Use and Responsibility

    The Customer is responsible for ensuring that:

    • Equipment is used by trained personnel

    • Products are suitable for the intended application

    • All applicable safety regulations and industry standards are followed

    11. Melnic Marine accepts no responsibility for misuse, improper installation or unauthorised modification of equipment.

    10. Warranty

    Products are supplied with the manufacturer’s warranty where applicable.

    Warranty claims must follow the manufacturer’s procedures.

    Warranty does not cover:

    • Normal wear and tear

    • Incorrect installation or maintenance

    • Damage caused by misuse or negligence

      11. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, Melnic Marine shall not be liable for:

    • Indirect or consequential loss

    • Loss of profits or business interruption

    • Operational downtime or project delays

    2. Our total liability relating to any order shall not exceed the value of the goods supplied.

    Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

    • Death or personal injury caused by negligence

    • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

    • Any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law


    3. 12. Force Majeure

    Melnic Marine shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control including:

    • Natural disasters

    • Industrial disputes

    • Supply chain disruption

    • War or political instability

    • Government restrictions


    4. 13. Privacy and Data Protection

    Melnic Marine processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and our Privacy Policy.

    Customer data may be used to:

    • Process orders

    • Manage accounts

    • Provide customer service

    5. Payment information is securely processed through Stripe.

    14. Website Sales

    Orders placed through our website are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

    The website platform is operated using Odoo, which securely processes order and account information.

    We reserve the right to cancel orders in cases of:

    • Pricing errors

    • Product availability issues

    • Suspected fraud


    6. 15. Intellectual Property

    All content, product descriptions, images and materials provided by Melnic Marine remain the intellectual property of the Company or its licensors.

    They may not be reproduced without permission.

    16. Governing Law

    These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

    Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

    17. Amendments

    Melnic Marine reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.

    The latest version will be available on our website and will apply to all future transactions.
